Produced by the legendary Colin Richardson, this collection represents a pivotal moment in the band's career as they were establishing themselves as one of Britain's most formidable extreme metal forces. The album includes the crushing "Spearhead (Extended Remix)" alongside classic tracks like "Crown of Life" and "Dying Creed", demonstrating the Coventry quartet's mastery of both technical precision and sheer brutality.

From these early days on Earache Records, Bolt Thrower went on to achieve worldwide success with a remarkable 30-year career spanning 8 studio albums and countless tours across the globe. The collection benefits from the support of BBC National Radio's John Peel, who was a huge champion of Earache's extreme grindcore roster from the very beginning. Closing with a live version of "Realm of Chaos", this release captures the raw power and uncompromising vision that made Bolt Thrower legends of the death metal underground.
