This formidable landscape is the cradle of BRONCO, whose self-titled debut album is deeply rooted in Doom Metal and Southern Sludge. Their sound echoes the unyielding, raw, and unrefined nature of its origins—relentlessly driving yet honest and unfiltered. Emerging from the ashes of TOKE following guitarist Tim Bryan's tragic motorcycle accident in 2021, BRONCO carries a heavy mantle. With creeping weight and underlying aggression, their music resonates with North Carolina's terroir, home to acts like WEEDEATER and SOUR VEIN. "Bronco" bleeds a gritty blend of gnarly dread and overwhelming resignation. It's a soundtrack to grim self-reflection and forced acceptance of life's myriad disappointments.
