About the album

Bronco emerges from the rugged terrain of Wilmington, North Carolina, much like the Cape Fear peninsula defying the relentless Atlantic waves. Their self-titled debut album is rooted deeply in Doom Metal and Southern Sludge, echoing the raw, unpolished, yet earnest nature of its origin. Born from the ashes of TOKE after guitarist Tim Bryan's tragic accident in 2021, Bronco combines crawling heaviness with underlying aggression, featuring tar-like riffs and barbed-wire vocals. This blend mirrors North Carolina's terroir, a breeding ground for acts like WEEDEATER and SOUR VEIN, crafting some of the South's heaviest sludge. "Bronco" drips with grim introspection and forced acceptance of life's myriad disappointments—a soundtrack to stark self-reflection.

Building on where TOKE left off, BRONCO simultaneously experiment with fresh elements. "Bronco" is brutal yet substantial, defined by its defiant individuality amidst a landscape of sonic exploration.
