Background information about 'B.L.N.T.'
Bülent Ceylan has been a household name in German comedy for over 25 years, but underneath the punchlines beats a heart of pure heavy metal. With B.L.N.T., the Mannheim-born entertainer delivers his second studio album and proves once and for all that he is far more than just a funny guy with a microphone. This is the sound of someone who genuinely lives and breathes the genre, a record that crackles with the energy of someone finally getting to make the music they truly love.
B.L.N.T. walks a tightrope between a knowing wink and sharp social commentary, delivering both belly laughs and serious messages. The emotional highlight comes with Wolfsherz, where no less than the undisputed Heavy Metal Queen herself, Doro Pesch, lends her smoky, soulful voice, creating genuine goosebump moments and undeniable recognition value. Then there is the cheeky rocker Randale und Radau, which sees Ceylan team up with In Extremo frontman Michael for a full-blown riot of guitars and good times. Having shared stages with the legendary Wacken Open Air, celebrated with the Scorpions at their anniversary show, and hosted the German Metal Hammer Awards in 2024, Ceylan cements his position among the serious players of the heavy metal scene with this record. It is loud, it is fun, and it is absolutely heartfelt.
