Background information about 'Embalmed In Decay'

Carnal Tomb from Germany's vibrant capital, Berlin, delivers their eagerly anticipated third album, "Embalmed in Decay." This release captures the essence of Old School Death Metal with its concise tracks, rapid blast beats, and signature doom passages, presenting a modern rendition of classic death metal. "Embalmed in Decay" solidifies the band's status as one of the most promising young acts within this brutal genre.

The band draws inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's works, as well as gore and zombie films like Amando de Ossorio's 1972 classic "Tombs of the Blind Dead," and unique Italian burial sites known as "Putridarium," where corpses were left to rot to the bone in open chambers. The morbid cover artwork by artist Skaðvaldur mirrors these themes. Formed in 2014, Carnal Tomb's insatiable hunger for Old School Death Metal is evident through their prolific demos, EPs, splits, and singles. Their previous albums "Rotten Remains" (2016) and "Abhorrent Veneration" (2019) earned them a stellar reputation among death metal enthusiasts worldwide. With the bloodthirsty horror of "Embalmed in Decay," Carnal Tomb resurrects the dead, unleashing monstrous songs upon an unsuspecting world.
