Brooks Wilson's vocals have never sounded more commanding — there's a desperate, almost preacher-like conviction in his delivery that makes the philosophical unrest feel dangerously real. And then there's "Lachrymose," a brand-new track that leans even further into the band's signature doom-laden grandeur. Monolithic riffs crash against sweeping, melodic leads in that way only Crypt Sermon can pull off — epic without being pompous, crushing without being suffocating.
