Background information about 'Product Of Society'
Defiance's seminal album "Product Of Society" stands as a testament to the raw energy and unyielding spirit of late '80s thrash metal. Released at a time when the genre was at its zenith, the album captures the essence of speed metal with its relentless pace and intricate guitar work. The reissue of this classic has been meticulously remastered to preserve the original intensity while bringing clarity to its complex arrangements. Tracks like "The Fault" and "Death Machine" showcase the band's ability to blend aggressive riffs with melodic interludes, creating a soundscape that is both chaotic and harmonious.
The lyrical content delves into socio-political themes prevalent during that era, making it not just a musical journey but an introspective experience. Tracks such as "Forgotten" and "Insomnia" reflect a disillusionment with societal norms and an exploration of existential dread—hallmarks of the thrash genre. This limited-edition reissue on blue translucent vinyl is more than just a collector's item; it's a piece of metal history that continues to inspire new generations of musicians eager to carry forward the torch lit by pioneers like Defiance.
