Background information about 'Eternal Devastation'
"Eternal Devastation," the sophomore album by Destruction, stands as a monumental pillar in the thrash metal genre. Released initially in 1986 and now reissued with pristine mastering by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony for this Silver edition. It's an album that captures the raw intensity and ferocity synonymous with Destruction's name. With tracks like "Curse The Gods" and "Confused Mind," listeners are thrown into a relentless auditory assault characterized by blistering guitar riffs and unyielding drum patterns.
This record exemplifies Destruction's ability to blend technical proficiency with visceral energy. The haunting melodies intertwined with aggressive rhythms create an atmosphere of chaos that is both invigorating and intense. Enhanced by its authentic production quality from the original sessions at Tonstudio Hiltpoltstein, "Eternal Devastation" remains as fresh today as it was over three decades ago.
