Background information about 'Constructs'
There's a moment on "Constructs" where the whole thing just locks in — guitars stacked like girders, drums hammering out blueprints, and a voice cutting through the dust. FERVENCE sound like a band that has spent years in a rehearsal room arguing about the right way to make heaviness feel inevitable, and this record is the argument won. Nothing here is decoration. Every riff earns its place, every transition lands with intent, and the production keeps the low end thick without ever smothering the detail.
What I love most is how restless it is without losing the plot. One minute they're building slow, patient tension, the next they're off at full sprint, and somehow it all belongs to the same architecture. The title isn't a coincidence — these songs are constructed, deliberately, with seams you can admire rather than hide. There's melody buried in the harshness too, the kind that sneaks up on you and stays for days. It's a debut that sounds like a statement of intent rather than a first attempt, and that's a rare thing.
Play it loud, play it twice, and pay attention to how the last track reframes everything before it. This is the sort of record that rewards the listener who leans in.
For fans of: Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Heaven Shall Burn, As I Lay Dying, Unearth
