Background information about 'Dreams Of Death'
Flotsam And Jetsam have been flying the thrash flag since the early eighties, and Dreams Of Death proves they still know exactly how to deliver the goods. This record hits like a sledgehammer wrapped in melody, with razor-sharp riffs and that unmistakable vocal attack that has carried the band through decades of lineup changes and musical trends. From the crushing opener "Requiescal" to the relentless drive of "Straight To Hell," the energy never lets up. The band weaves together classic thrash aggression with a modern production sheen, making every track land with precision and power.
The album flows beautifully across both sides of the tape, shifting between neck-snapping speed and more atmospheric, brooding moments. "Parapsychic, Paranoid" brings a darker edge, while "Bleed" and "Look In His Eyes" showcase the band's knack for memorable hooks buried under layers of distortion. The second side continues the assault with "Childhood Hero" and the epic closer "Out Of Mind," leaving no doubt that Flotsam And Jetsam remain a force to be reckoned with in the thrash scene. This is pure, unadulterated metal from a band that has never compromised their vision.
