Background information about 'Jacht Der Mysterien'
With "Jacht der Mysterien", Fluisteraars deliver their most ambitious and cohesive statement yet – a breathtaking triptych of towering compositions that marks the Dutch black metal masters' first album fully conceived as a complete band performance. This isn't just another release; it's a transformative journey into the transcendental unknown that showcases the band's evolution into something truly extraordinary.
The album's core concept revolves around the hunt for mysteries – those elusive, deeply alluring phenomena that become clearer the more they're pursued, only to slip away again into forests, history, thought, or space itself. Fluisteraars have masterfully woven local legends about a figure who followed mysterious lights into the woods and never returned, creating an atmosphere so immersive it feels like stepping into those very woods. The band's decision to capture this live in a single take with longtime producer T. Cochrane, then reamping through an abandoned water tower, gives the sound a drifting, fog-like character that perfectly embodies the album's mystical essence.
