Background information about 'Jacht der Mysteriën'
The Dutch atmospheric black metal masters Fluisteraars have outdone themselves with their sixth full-length "Jacht der Mysteriën" – a breathtaking hunt through the transcendental unknown that stands as their most cohesive and powerful statement yet. This isn't just another album; it's a sonic expedition into the very essence of mystery itself, where three towering epics unfold like ancient maps leading deeper into uncharted territories of sound and spirit.
What sets this release apart is its genesis as the band's first complete full-band performance, captured live in a single take with longtime producer T. Cochrane. The spontaneous energy crackles through every moment, creating an urgency that traditional studio albums often lack. The subsequent reamping through an abandoned water tower adds an otherworldly dimension – sounds drift and emerge like phantoms in the mist, perfectly embodying the album's central theme of pursuing the elusive and unknowable.
