Arcturus' "Constellation / My Angel" is a monumental release in the evolution of Norwegian black metal. Emerging from the remnants of death metal band Mortem, Arcturus found their unique voice with their early EP "My Angel." This release marked the beginning of their journey into the avant-garde, setting a precedent for their eclectic blend of black metal with atmospheric elements. The record's darkly ethereal compositions are driven by haunting keyboard arrangements from Sverd and thunderous percussion from Hellhammer.
