Background information about 'Chronicles Of Lunacy'
Holy hell, Defeated Sanity are back with a vengeance! "Chronicles of Lunacy" marks the German brutal death metal legends' triumphant return to their crushing roots after three decades of underground worship. This isn't just another tech-death exercise – it's a masterclass in controlled chaos that'll leave your speakers begging for mercy.
The opening salvo "The Odour of Sanctity" showcases founding drummer Lille Gruber at his most unhinged, weaving blast beats and tempo changes like a man possessed. But here's the kicker – this album strips away some of the mind-bending complexity to focus on pure, unadulterated neck-snapping brutality. Recorded at Thousand Cave Studios with producer Colin Marston, tracks like "Accelerate the Rot" now stand as the fastest ass-beaters in their entire catalog, thanks to new guitarist Vaughn Stoffey's eerie dissonance that cuts like a rusty blade through flesh.
