Background information about '6'

There are bands that simply refuse to stand still, and Graveyard have spent the better part of two decades proving exactly that. With "6", the Gothenburg quartet returns with the kind of record that reminds you why you fell in love with heavy rock in the first place. From the very first notes of "Godnatt", there's that unmistakable, warm, analog-soaked atmosphere — the kind that feels less like a studio recording and more like a late-night jam in a smoky basement where the amps are turned up just a little too loud.

What strikes you immediately is how effortlessly the band moves between moods. "Twice" kicks in with a swaggering, almost bluesy stomp, while "I Follow You" stretches out into one of those slow-burning, hypnotic grooves that Graveyard have always done so well. Joakim Nilsson's voice is as soulful and lived-in as ever, carrying melodies that feel both timeless and urgent. Tracks like "Breathe In Breathe Out" and "Sad Song" hit with real emotional weight, while "Bright Lights" and "No Way Out" prove the band hasn't lost an ounce of their raw, riff-driven fire. And then there's "Rampant Fields" — a sprawling closer that leaves you wanting to hit repeat the second it fades out. This is a band at the height of their powers, and "6" is proof that the fire still burns bright.
