Background information about 'The Untamed Hunger'
When darkness calls and the abyss beckons, Infinity answers with their devastating sophomore offering "The Untamed Hunger". This Polish black metal outfit has crafted something truly sinister here – six tracks of unrelenting atmospheric terror that crawl under your skin and refuse to let go. From the opening assault of "Lord of the Earth" to the haunting finale "The Cold Silence Beyond", this album is a masterclass in how modern black metal should sound when it's done right.
The production strikes that perfect balance between raw aggression and clarity, allowing every tremolo-picked melody and blast beat to hit with maximum impact. The band's ability to weave lengthy compositions that never lose momentum is particularly impressive – tracks like the nearly nine-minute title track "The Untamed Hunger" feel like epic journeys through frozen wastelands rather than endurance tests. The atmospheric passages breathe perfectly between the more intense sections, creating a dynamic listening experience that rewards both casual listeners and devoted metalheads.
