Background information about 'Black Mass For A Mass Grave'

The Colombian-American black metal duo Inquisition delivers another crushing chapter in their unholy saga with "Black Mass For A Mass Grave". This album stands as a testament to the band's unwavering dedication to ancient Satanic black metal, featuring twelve tracks of pure cosmic darkness that span over an hour of ritualistic sonic terror. Dagon's signature croaking vocals and hypnotic guitar work create an atmosphere that's both meditative and utterly menacing, while the pounding war drums of Incubus provide the relentless foundation for these hymns to darkness. The production by Alejandro Corredora at Orbit Audio and Boom! Studios captures every nuance of the band's otherworldly sound, from the haunting keyboard passages to the razor-sharp tremolo picking.

What sets this release apart is its conceptual depth and the inclusion of spoken word samples from the cult film "Satan's Blood" on tracks like "Ceremony For The Gathering Of Death" and the title track. The album flows seamlessly between epic compositions like "Triumphant Cosmic Death" and "My Spirit Shall Join A Constellation Of Swords" to more atmospheric interludes, creating a complete ritualistic experience. The artwork by Vincent Foquet perfectly complements the album's themes of cosmic death and spiritual transformation, making this limited edition digipak a true collector's item.
