Background information about 'Den Vrede Makt'

There are moments when black metal feels less like a genre and more like a force of nature. Whoredom Rife's fourth full-length Den Vrede Makt is exactly that — a raw, unrelenting storm that grabs you by the throat and doesn't let go. Hailing from the Nidrosian scene, these Norwegian traditionalists have spent the last decade carving their name into the granite of underground black metal, and this record is their most devastating statement yet.

Six tracks of pure, unfiltered darkness. From the moment the title track erupts, you're thrown into a world of icy riffs, blastbeats that hit like a sledgehammer, and vocals that sound like they're being ripped from the deepest pits of despair. But there's a melancholic beauty woven into the chaos — tracks like \u201cThe Beautiful End of All\u201d reveal a band that understands the fragile line between hatred and sorrow. The production is raw but clear enough to let every tortured note breathe. Recorded in Purgatory during the plague year of 2021 and mixed by Rune Stavnesli, this album carries the weight of a world gone wrong.

This is Norwegian black metal in its purest form. No frills, no compromises. Just six hymns of total destruction delivered with conviction and integrity. The Nidrosian flame burns brighter than ever.
