Background information about 'Revered by Death'
KARLOFF return with their most menacing statement yet on "Revered by Death". This German trio has evolved far beyond their initial punk-oriented roots, crafting something altogether more sinister and crushing. Where their debut "The Appearing" hinted at their potential, this second full-length delivers on every promise with a lead-heavy stomp that feels like ancient metalpunk rising from the grave.
The album combines the raw intensity of their demo days with a newfound maturity that's both darker and more atmospheric. Tracks like the instrumental "On Weathered Altar" showcase their post-punk influences, while the heavier cuts deliver that trademark KARLOFF punch with added doom-laden weight. The production captures every crushing riff and haunting vocal line with perfect clarity, making this essential listening for anyone craving authentic underground metal.
