Background information about 'One Cold Winter's Night'

"One Cold Winter's Night" captures Kamelot at their absolute peak, delivering a live performance that feels less like a concert recording and more like a grand theatrical spectacle. Recorded during the band's European tour in support of their acclaimed "The Black Halo" era, this double album showcases why Kamelot have long been regarded as one of the finest symphonic metal acts of their generation. Roy Khan's commanding yet emotionally resonant vocals take center stage, gliding effortlessly through the band's rich catalog of progressive and power metal anthems.

The setlist is a masterclass in song selection, spanning career-defining tracks like "The Black Halo," "Soul Society," and the epic "Center of the Universe" alongside fan favorites from across their discography. The special guest appearances add an extra layer of drama and depth, with Simone Simons lending her angelic voice to "The Haunting" and Mari Youngblood bringing the character of Helena to life with stunning conviction. The Elizabeth trilogy, performed as a continuous suite, stands as a particular highlight, weaving together three interconnected tales into a single breathtaking moment of live storytelling.

From the haunting keyboard solo to the thunderous drum showcase and the triumphant closer "Epilogue," every moment feels meticulously crafted yet utterly spontaneous. This is symphonic metal performed with heart, precision, and an undeniable sense of occasion.
