Background information about 'Isolation / Transmission (RSD)'
Krieg delivers a crushing blow to the underground with this exclusive Record Store Day release that showcases the band's relentless evolution within the black metal realm. "Isolation / Transmission" captures the essence of what makes this New Jersey outfit so devastatingly effective – their ability to channel pure misanthropy into sonic warfare that hits like a sledgehammer to the soul.
"Walk With Them Unnoticed" opens this brief but brutal assault with the kind of suffocating atmosphere that Krieg has perfected over their career. The track builds from an ominous crawl into a full-blown maelstrom of blast beats and razor-sharp riffs, while "To Speak With Ghosts" closes the EP with haunting melodies that stick in your mind long after the needle lifts. This isn't just another throwaway release – it's a concentrated dose of everything that makes Krieg essential listening for anyone serious about American black metal.
For fans of:
Leviathan, Xasthur, Darkthrone, Mayhem, Watain
