Background information about 'Among The Seeds Of Death'
Master strikes again! Paul Speckmann and his crew deliver old-school death metal in its purest form, and honestly, there is no one else quite like them. For decades, Master has been the embodiment of musical anachronism - and rightfully so. No matter what trend was hot at the moment, Speckmann flipped it the bird and stayed true to his signature blend of death metal and intense thrash that helped birth an entire genre back in the late 80s.
Now, in 2026, the band unleashes their 16th (!) full-length "Among the Seeds of Death", a killer follow-up to the strong 2024 effort "Saints Dispelled". And what's new here? Nothing! And that's exactly what makes it so damn great. The song quality is through the roof, with tracks like "Twas Always a Plan", "Injustice and Lack of Remorse" and the crushing title track "Among the Seeds of Death" delivering everything fans have come to expect - and more. This is raw, uncompromising, honest metal played by people who genuinely love what they do. Crank it up, let the riffs hit you in the face and enjoy the ride. Master remains the standard bearer of old-school brutality, and this album proves once again why they've never needed to follow anyone else's rules.
