Background information about 'Spectrum Of Death'
Holy hell, what a beast of an album! Morbid Saint absolutely demolishes everything in their path with "Spectrum Of Death", a thrash metal masterpiece that hits like a sledgehammer to the skull. This Wisconsin quintet crafted something truly special here – eight tracks of pure, unadulterated thrash fury that'll leave your neck sore for weeks. From the opening assault of "Lock Up Your Children" to the apocalyptic finale "Beyond The Gates Of Hell", every single moment crackles with that raw, untamed energy that made the late 80s thrash scene so damn electrifying.
The production is absolutely crushing, giving each riff the weight it deserves while maintaining that essential underground grit. "Burned At The Stake" and "Assassin" showcase the band's ability to blend technical prowess with pure aggression, while "Spectrum Of Death" itself stands as a monument to everything thrash metal should be. This isn't just another reissue – it's a celebration of one of the most underrated gems in thrash history, finally getting the treatment it deserves on this stunning galaxy vinyl pressing.
