Background information about 'Scumanity'

This crushing debut from Nefastes delivers an absolutely relentless assault of blackened brutality that'll leave you gasping for air. The French collective, featuring powerhouse musicians with serious pedigree from Benighted, has crafted something truly savage with "Scumanity". Liem N'Guyen and Olivier Gabriel bring their razor-sharp guitar work from their Benighted days, while Julien Truchan's vocals are nothing short of devastating - the man knows how to channel pure hatred through his throat. The eight tracks here don't mess around, delivering fast, grim, and absolutely brutal black metal that hits like a sledgehammer to the skull.

What makes this release particularly exciting is how these seasoned musicians have channeled their death metal experience into creating something darker and more atmospheric. Tracks like "Make Apocalypse Great Again" and the title track "Scumanity" showcase their ability to blend crushing heaviness with that signature black metal atmosphere. The production is crisp enough to catch every brutal detail while maintaining that raw, unforgiving edge that makes black metal so compelling. This isn't just another side project - it's a legitimate force in the extreme metal scene.

For fans of: Benighted, Anaal Nathrakh, Belphegor, and Mayhem
