"Scumanity" represents the unholy collaboration between Liem N'Guyen and Olivier Gabriel on guitars - both founding pillars of the legendary French extreme metal outfit - alongside Julien Truchan, who continues to terrorize audiences as Benighted's main vocalist. This black metal project doesn't mess around with atmospheric interludes or philosophical wanderings; instead, it delivers eight tracks of unrelenting grimness that feels like being caught in a metallic hurricane.

The album's title track perfectly encapsulates what Nefastes is all about - fast, brutal, and absolutely merciless. From the opening assault of "Progéniture Décadente" to the flesh-carving finale, every moment drips with the kind of technical precision you'd expect from these seasoned musicians, but wrapped in a cloak of pure black metal savagery. Tracks like "Make Apocalypse Great Again" showcase their ability to blend crushing riffs with Truchan's distinctive vocal delivery, while "Charognards" demonstrates their knack for creating memorable hooks within the chaos.
