Background information about 'Rats In The Cradle'

Night Laser have finally become the band they always wanted to be - handbrake off, turbo ignited. Rats In The Cradle is hands down their most diverse record to date, breathing rock, metal, blues, funk, and above all, friendship and pure fun. The band has always belonged on stage, that much was clear. Now they show what can happen in the studio when the sheer joy of playing together takes the wheel. This album is packed with musical and lyrical mischief, innuendos, and downright filth - in the best possible way. Five fantastic guest musicians, a more than renowned producer duo, and a band of not-so-young-anymore but far-from-old friends create a sizzling hot mix that makes the nearly 60 minutes fly by in an instant. The only question left is: Again from the top?

From the explosive opener S.T.F.U. to the blues-soaked swagger of Blueberry Gin (featuring Sascha Paeth) and the epic Heart Of The Desert Rose with the legendary Johnny Gioeli on vocals - every track feels like a celebration. Defenders brings in Sebastian Zierof for some six-string fireworks, while Get Out features Lars Rettkowitz adding extra grit. But it's the title track Rats In The Cradle that truly steals the show, a mid-tempo monster with hooks for days. This is rock music played by people who actually like each other - and it sounds exactly like that.
