Background information about 'Rats In The Cradle'
Night Laser have finally become the band they always wanted to be – and "Rats In The Cradle" is the glorious proof. The handbrake is off, the turbo is lit, and what we get is hands down the most diverse record in their discography. This thing breathes rock, metal, blues, funk, and above all, friendship and pure joy. Clocking in at nearly 60 minutes, the album flies by without a single dull moment, leaving you with only one question: again, please?
From the punch-in-the-face opener S.T.F.U. to the soulful swagger of Blueberry Gin (featuring Sascha Paeth), the arena-sized Heart Of The Desert Rose with Johnny Gioeli, and the relentless groove of Get Out with Lars Rettkowitz – every track is a statement. The production, handled by a renowned producer duo, is crisp, fat, and full of life. This is a band that belongs on stage, and now they've captured that lightning in a studio bottle. Rats In The Cradle is packed with musical and lyrical mischief, nods and winks, and five fantastic guest musicians add even more firepower. It's rock 'n' roll played by friends who still love every second of it – and you will too.
