With "Umbriel (Das Schweigen zwischen den Sternen)", the band delivers a record that feels less like an album and more like a descent into a cold, cosmic void. The title refers to one of Uranus' moons, and the music mirrors that icy, distant atmosphere — but make no mistake, this is not ambient fluff. This is progressive black metal that twists and turns through labyrinthine structures, relentless blastbeats, and moments of haunting, almost fragile melody. The opener "Kerkerwelten - Teil I" sets the stage with eerie tension before the full storm breaks loose on "Gottverreckte Finsternis". The 13-minute epic "Dinner auf Uranos" is a masterclass in dynamic songwriting, shifting between crushing heaviness and atmospheric passages that feel like floating through interstellar dust. There's a theatrical, almost avant-garde edge to the songwriting here — think Arcturus meets early Ulver with a distinctly German philosophical gloom.
