Background information about 'Inked In Blood'
Florida's death metal titans Obituary return with crushing force on "Inked In Blood", delivering their most ferocious statement in years. This is death metal at its most primal and devastating - John Tardy's unmistakable growls cut through the mix like a chainsaw through bone, while the Murphys' guitar work creates a wall of crushing riffs that'll leave you gasping for air. The album showcases the band's signature blend of slow, grinding passages and explosive bursts of aggression that made them legends in the first place.
From the opening assault of "Centuries Of Lies" to the bone-crushing finale of "Paralyzed With Fear", Obituary proves they haven't lost a single ounce of their brutal edge. The production is thick and heavy, giving each crushing blow maximum impact while maintaining the raw, unpolished feel that defines true death metal. Tracks like "Violent By Nature" and the title track "Inked In Blood" showcase the band's ability to craft memorable hooks within their devastating sonic assault. This isn't just another comeback album - it's a masterclass in how death metal should sound in the modern era.
