Background information about 'Deadtime Stories (Re-Release)'
Nearly three decades in the making, Seasons In Black have carved their own brutal path through the metal underground since emerging from the depths of Bavaria's forests in 1996. What started as a black metal project has evolved into something far more sinister and compelling – a devastating blend they've christened "Doomcore." "Deadtime Stories (Re-Release)" stands as a testament to their relentless evolution, weaving together death metal brutality, gothic atmosphere, hardcore aggression, and crushing doom into twelve tracks of pure sonic devastation.
The album opens with the haunting "4our (Intro)" before unleashing a barrage of emotional warfare through tracks like "End After, There's Not Nothing" and the apocalyptic "Hiroshima Sun." Each composition on this re-release showcases the band's mastery of dark melodies intertwined with punishing riffs and raw, unfiltered emotion. From the deceptively titled "Sweet Armageddon" to the closing "Gotten (Outro)," this is metal that doesn't just pummel – it haunts, it lingers, and it transforms. The orange vinyl presentation gives this underground classic the physical treatment it deserves.
