Background information about 'Roorback (Half Speed Mastering)'

Sepultura's tenth studio album "Roorback" stands as a testament to the Brazilian metal legends' ability to evolve while maintaining their crushing intensity. Released in 2003, this album marked another chapter in the band's post-Max Cavalera era, with Derrick Green delivering powerful vocals that complement the band's signature blend of thrash brutality and groove-laden rhythms. The album showcases Sepultura's continued exploration of political themes and social commentary, wrapped in their trademark aggressive sound that helped define modern metal.

The record features thirteen original tracks plus seven bonus cuts, including covers of classics like "Black Steel In The Hour Of Chaos" by Public Enemy and "Mountain Song" by Jane's Addiction, demonstrating the band's diverse influences. Songs like "Godless", "Apes Of God", and "Mind War" deliver the punishing riffs and thunderous rhythms that fans expect, while tracks such as "Come Back Alive" and "The Rift" showcase the band's ability to craft memorable hooks within their heavy framework. This half-speed mastered vinyl edition brings new clarity and depth to the album's dense production, allowing every crushing detail to shine through.
