Four years after the intense release of "Sumerian Promises," Sijjin returns with their second opus, "Helljjin Combat." This German/Basque trio has delved into the depths of classic Death Metal while infusing it with a raw, evil Thrash influence. The album is drenched in satanic imagery and diabolical themes, conjuring visions of biblical fatalism and dark debauchery. With its authentic 80s analog sound production recorded live at BlackStorm Studios in Karrantza, Basque Country, "Helljjin Combat" showcases Gericke's vocals at their most vicious.
Sijjin's new direction focuses on more elaborate song structures reminiscent of mid-80s metal legends such as Infernäl Mäjesty, Nasty Savage, and early Slayer. The band crafts a powerful narrative that captures the essence of Metal insanity from that era. As they navigate through hellish combat, Sijjin solidifies its place as a formidable force in the Death Metal scene.
