Background information about 'Requiem (Live At Roadburn 2019 with the Metropole Orkest)'

Triptykon's "Requiem [Live At Roadburn 2019]" is a monumental live recording that captures the raw power and esoteric beauty of their music. Performed at the renowned Roadburn Festival alongside the Metropole Orkest, this performance is a testament to Triptykon’s ability to transcend traditional metal boundaries. The album comprises three parts: Rex Irae (Requiem, Chapter One: Overture), Grave Eternal (Requiem, Chapter Two: Transition), and Winter (Requiem, Chapter Three: Finale). Each piece flows seamlessly into the next, creating an immersive experience that is both haunting and mesmerizing.

The collaboration with the orchestra adds layers of depth and sophistication to the music while maintaining its brooding intensity. The intricate arrangements by Florian Magnus Maier and Tom G. Warrior allow for a dynamic interplay between crushing doom riffs and orchestral grandeur. This release not only offers an auditory feast but also comes with visual elements like a DVD of the performance and additional content that further enriches the listener's experience.
