Background information about 'Skin And Teeth And Nails'
"Skinandteethandnails" marks the debut album of Vera Cruz, a French band that deftly blends the aggressive energy of hardcore with the dense textures of heavy metal. Released in 2012 by Season Of Mist, this album showcases the band's dynamic range, from blistering riffs to melodic interludes, crafting a soundscape that is both brutal and compelling. The production quality, helmed by Fred Duquesne and the band themselves, ensures that each instrument is clearly articulated, allowing the intricate guitar work and pounding rhythms to shine through with clarity and power.
Thematically, the album delves into visceral and existential topics, reflected in track titles such as "Hopeless Knights," "The Last Of A Dying Breed," and "American Psycho." The band's ability to merge intense vocals with evocative lyrics results in a compelling listening experience that resonates with fans of the genre. With eleven tracks, including standout songs like "Dunwich," inspired by H.P.
