Background information about 'The Age Of Entitlement'
After a staggering 24-year silence, Acid Reign have finally returned to the forefront of the metal scene with their third full-length masterpiece, The Age Of Entitlement. This isn't just a comeback; it is a reclamation of territory. Since reuniting with original vocalist Howard H. Smith, the band has been relentless, tearing up stages across Europe and dominating festivals like the legendary Sophie Stage at Bloodstock 2016. Their live reputation is built on high-octane energy, mass stage-diving, and violent pits, but this album proves their studio prowess is equally formidable.
The record channels the raw, unpolished power of the UK metal scene while addressing the modern zeitgeist with biting lyrics. Tracks like The New Low and United Hates showcase a band that hasn't lost its edge but has refined its attack. It's a heavy, driving force that demands attention. For fans of the classic UK metal sound, this is essential listening.
