Background information about 'Holy Terror / The Saga Of Nemesis'
When German thrash legends Assassin unleashed their twin assault of "Holy Terror" and "The Saga of Nemesis" in the late 80s, they carved their name deep into the annals of Teutonic metal history. These two demo recordings showcase the raw, uncompromising fury that would establish them as pioneers of the German thrash movement alongside their contemporaries in the explosive underground scene.
"Holy Terror" delivers relentless aggression with razor-sharp riffs and pounding rhythms that hit like a sledgehammer to the skull. The follow-up "The Saga of Nemesis" continues this sonic assault with even more refined brutality, demonstrating the band's evolution while maintaining their signature ferocity. Both recordings capture Assassin at their most primal and authentic, before studio polish could tame their wild energy. The audio restoration by Patrick W. Engel brings new life to these classic recordings, preserving every ounce of their original intensity while enhancing clarity for modern listeners.
