Released in 1985, "The Return..." stands as Bathory's second full-length offering and arguably one of the most influential black metal albums ever recorded. This raw, uncompromising masterpiece pushed the boundaries of extreme metal even further than their debut, delivering a sound so primitive and ferocious that it would become the blueprint for countless black metal bands that followed.
