Background information about 'The Return...'

Released in 1985, "The Return..." stands as Bathory's second full-length offering and arguably one of the most influential black metal albums ever recorded. This raw, uncompromising masterpiece pushed the boundaries of extreme metal even further than their debut, delivering a sound so primitive and ferocious that it would become the blueprint for countless black metal bands that followed. The album's lo-fi production, courtesy of Quorthon's vision, creates an atmosphere of pure darkness that perfectly complements the blasphemous lyrical content and relentless musical assault.

The nine tracks on "The Return..." showcase Bathory at their most primal and unforgiving.
