Background information about 'Evangelion'

Behemoth's "Evangelion" stands as a monumental testament to the band's unparalleled prowess in the blackened death metal realm. Released in 2009 and reissued in 2023, this album captures the raw intensity and complex musicianship that have become synonymous with their name. The opening track "Daimonos" sets a foreboding tone with its thunderous percussion and intricate guitar work. The album delves into dark themes inspired by mythology and the occult, with tracks like "Shemhamforash" and "Ov Fire And The Void," showcasing Behemoth's ability to weave dense atmospheres with relentless aggression.

The production on "Evangelion" is nothing short of stellar, highlighting each instrument's contribution to the overall soundscape. Nergal's vocals deliver an unyielding force that propels listeners into a profound exploration of existential themes. Songs such as "Transmigrating Beyond Realms Ov Amenti" and "He Who Breeds Pestilence" blur the lines between brutality and melody, offering moments of melodic respite amidst chaos. Concluding with the epic "Lucifer," Behemoth cements their place at the pinnacle of extreme metal mastery.
