Background information about 'Dogs Always Bite Harder Than Their Master'

Benighted delivers an absolutely devastating 20th anniversary celebration with this special edition release that showcases both their studio prowess and live intensity. The French death metal masters have curated a perfect blend of new material and explosive live recordings that demonstrate exactly why they've remained at the forefront of extreme metal for two decades.

The studio tracks hit with surgical precision – "Teeth And Hatred" opens with characteristic brutality, while "Martyr" and the title track "Dogs Always Bite Harder Than Their Master" showcase the band's evolution into even more ferocious territory. Their cover of At The Gates' "Slaughter Of The Soul" pays homage to the Swedish legends while maintaining Benighted's unmistakable French death metal signature. The live recordings from Lyon capture the band's absolutely electrifying stage presence, featuring guest appearances from scene heavyweights including Arno from Black Bomb A, Niklas from Shining, Sven from Aborted, and Ben from Unfathomable Ruination. These collaborations create moments of pure extreme metal magic that fans will treasure.
