The album opens with The Hair Song, a fuzzed-out anthem that sounds like Black Sabbath jamming with The Byrds in a smoke-filled basement. What follows is a masterclass in dynamics — Old Fangs stomps with a Zeppelin-esque swagger, while Radiant Hearts floats on clouds of Hammond organ and Stephen McBean's deadpan drawl. The title track itself is a sprawling, hypnotic beast that builds from a gentle acoustic strum into a wall of distorted glory, anchored by Amber Webber's haunting harmonies. This is music made for late-night drives through desert highways or getting lost in your own head on a rainy afternoon. The second side keeps the fire burning with Buried By The Blues, a slow-burning psych-blues number that could've come straight from the Laurel Canyon scene if it had been dosed with heavy metal. The Way To Gone is pure riff-driven propulsion, and The Space Of Your Mind takes you on a cosmic journey before Sadie closes the album with a tender, almost folk-like intimacy.
