Product information "BOLT THROWER · War Master (FDR-Remaster) | DIGIPAK CD"

CD in digipak, FDR-version.

Background information about 'War Master (FDR-Remaster)'

When Bolt Thrower unleashed "War Master" back in 1991, they cemented their position as one of the most devastating forces in death metal. This FDR-remastered edition brings new life to what many consider the band's finest hour - a crushing testament to warfare's brutality that hits like artillery fire. The Coventry legends crafted something truly special here, blending their signature down-tuned heaviness with an almost hypnotic groove that makes tracks like "Cenotaph" and the title track "War Master" absolutely unstoppable. The production on this remaster really lets you feel every crushing riff and thunderous drum hit.

What sets this album apart isn't just the bone-crushing heaviness - it's the way Bolt Thrower weaves their World War I obsession into genuinely memorable songs. From the ominous "Intro/Unleashed (Upon Mankind)" through to "Afterlife", every track serves the greater war machine. Karl Willetts' growls are perfectly balanced against the guitar assault, while the rhythm section provides that tank-like momentum that became their trademark. This isn't just brutal for brutality's sake - there's real songcraft here that rewards repeated listens.

For fans of: Obituary, Asphyx, Benediction, Autopsy, and Dismember
