Background information about 'Red Before Black'
Cannibal Corpse delivers another crushing blow with "Red Before Black", their fourteenth studio album that proves these death metal titans are still operating at peak brutality. Originally released in 2017, this beast was captured at Mana Recording Studios in Saint Petersburg by Erik Rutan, and every single track demonstrates why the band remains the undisputed kings of extreme metal after three decades of sonic devastation.
The twelve tracks on this album are pure Cannibal Corpse DNA – relentless, precise, and absolutely merciless. From the opening assault of "Only One Will Die" to the closing nightmare of "Hideous Ichor", the band showcases their trademark blend of technical prowess and raw aggression. George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher's vocals are as commanding as ever, while the guitar work of Pat O'Brien and Rob Barrett creates a wall of sound that's both intricate and punishing. The rhythm section of Alex Webster and Paul Mazurkiewicz provides the crushing foundation that makes every riff hit like a sledgehammer.
