Background information about 'The Bleeding'
Cannibal Corpse unleashed a masterpiece of surgical precision with "The Bleeding" back in 1994, and this exclusive white vinyl reissue proves that some albums just get more devastating with age. This fourth studio effort marked the end of an era – the final chapter with Chris Barnes behind the microphone – and what a way to close that book! The production here is absolutely crushing, with every riff hitting like a sledgehammer to the skull while maintaining that crystal-clear brutality that separates the legends from the pretenders.
From the opening assault of "Staring Through The Eyes Of The Dead" to the bone-crushing finale of "An Experiment In Homicide", this album doesn't just push boundaries – it obliterates them completely. The guitar work is pure savagery refined into an art form, while the rhythm section pounds with the relentless precision of a death machine. Barnes delivers his most focused vocal performance here, every growl dripping with malevolent intent. This isn't just death metal; it's a blueprint for brutality that countless bands still try to replicate three decades later.
