Background information about 'No More Color'

There are records that simply refuse to age, and Coroner's "No More Color" is one of them. What the Swiss trio achieved here back in 1989 still sounds like a punch to the gut today. After "R.I.P." and "Punishment For Decadence", this was the moment where the band stopped flexing pure technical muscle and started breathing real groove into their thrash. The result is an album that swings, lurches, and twists in ways most of their peers never dared to attempt.

The opening "Die By My Hand" comes charging out of the gate, but it's the labyrinthine "Mistress Of Deception" that remains the crown jewel here, an absolute monster of a track with guitar parts so demanding that even Tommy T. Baron admits they were brutal to nail. And yet this isn't a sterile display of chops. Ron Royce's vocals are menacing and direct, Marquis Marky's drumming is relentless yet musical, and the whole thing is wrapped in an atmosphere that feels genuinely ominous rather than cartoonish. The mood and feeling on "No More Color" are what make it endure.

This High Roller Records edition is the definitive way to own it. Remastered and restored by Patrick W. Engel at Temple of Disharmony in February 2026, with cutting done by SST Germany on Neumann machines, this is the audiophile treatment this eternal classic has always deserved. The packaging is a collector's dream, thick cardboard cover, multiple booklets, posters, the works.
