Background information about 'Greatest Hits'
D.R.I. – the undisputed crossover thrash pioneers who practically wrote the rulebook on blending hardcore punk's raw fury with metal's technical precision. Greatest Hits is exactly what it says on the tin – a no-bullshit collection of the band's most devastating tracks from their legendary run. From the breakneck speed of Crossover to the groove-laden stomp of Beneath the Wheel, this compilation serves up 16 slabs of pure, unfiltered aggression that defined an entire subgenre.
What makes D.R.I. so special is their refusal to ever compromise. Vocalist Kurt Brecht spits lyrics with the venom of a man who's seen it all, while the rhythm section of Spike Cassidy (guitar), Josh Pappé (bass), and Rob Rampy (drums) lock into grooves that hit like a sledgehammer. This collection pulls from essential albums like Dealing With It, Crossover, and Thrash Zone, giving both longtime fans and newcomers a perfect entry point into one of the most influential bands in extreme music. Whether you're here for the mosh or the message, this record delivers.
