Background information about 'III : Love's Burial Ground'

When Forgotten Tomb unleashed "III : Love's Burial Ground" back in 2004, they carved out something truly special in the extreme metal landscape. This remastered 2015 edition brings new life to what many consider the Italian band's magnum opus - a devastating blend of black metal fury and doom-laden melancholy that hits like a sledgehammer to the soul. Ferdinando "Herr Morbid" Marchisio and his crew crafted an album that doesn't just play with darkness, it inhabits it completely, weaving industrial elements through tracks like "Kill Life" and the haunting title track that stretches over ten minutes of pure emotional devastation.

The album's genius lies in how it balances crushing heaviness with moments of surprising beauty - the piano arrangements on "House Of Nostalgia" provide breathing space between the relentless assault of tracks like "Alone" and "Slave To Negativity". The inclusion of Nordvargr's ambient interludes ("Malus Vivendi" parts I-III) creates an almost cinematic flow that elevates this beyond typical extreme metal territory. This reissue features both the original uncensored artwork and improved sound quality that really lets the bass lines and atmospheric elements breathe properly.

For fans of:
Shining, Lifelover, Bethlehem, Katatonia and My Dying Bride
