Background information about 'First Spell'
In the pantheon of black metal's most influential acts stands Gehenna, whose seminal mini-album "First Spell" has been meticulously remastered and reissued. Originally conjured in the early '90s, this evocative record captures the essence of a time when raw emotion and atmospheric soundscapes defined the genre. The audaciously haunting melodies and spectral harmonies manifest an otherworldly atmosphere that is both entrancing and foreboding.
This limited edition reissue offers die-hard fans a rare glimpse into the artistry of Gehenna, complete with never-before-seen photographs and an exclusive interview with all five original members. The album's sonic tapestry weaves together intricate guitar work and blistering percussion with visceral vocals that echo through shadowy realms. It serves as a testament to Gehenna's enduring legacy within the black metal community.
