Background information about 'Deathcrush'
Released in 1987, "Deathcrush" by Norwegian black metal pioneers Mayhem remains a seminal work in the genre. The EP showcases the raw power and ferocity that would come to define the band and influence countless others. With its visceral guitar riffs, relentless drumming, and haunting vocals, "Deathcrush" captures the bleak and oppressive atmosphere that permeates the band's early work. The EP's title track is a blistering assault on the senses, while tracks like "Chainsaw Gutsfuck" and "Necrolust" deliver a primal intensity that is both exhilarating and unsettling.
