Background information about 'La Muerte'
"La Muerte," the sixth studio album by Dutch death metal titans Gorefest, stands as a testament to their unrelenting prowess in the genre. Released initially in 2005, this record marks their triumphant return after a brief hiatus. The album’s production is an amalgamation of raw intensity and intricate musicianship, masterfully mixed by Tue Madsen at Antfarm Studios. Tracks such as "For The Masses" and "The New Gods" epitomize the band’s signature blend of aggression and melody, while maintaining a relentless pace throughout.
This reissue on orange splatter vinyl offers fans a chance to experience the visceral energy of "La Muerte" in a format that accentuates its sonic depth. The dynamic range of Boudewijn Bonebakker and Frank Harthoorn's guitars cuts through with precision, complemented by Jan-Chris de Koeijer's guttural vocals and Ed Warby’s relentless drumming. "La Muerte" is not just an album; it’s an auditory onslaught that captures the essence of death metal’s evolution.
