Background information about 'Nadir'
There's a particular kind of darkness that doesn't shout, it just settles in and refuses to leave. GROZA know exactly how that feels, and "Nadir" is their proof. The record moves with the patient confidence of a band that has spent years sharpening its blade, trading cheap shock value for genuine emotional weight. Guitars drift between brittle, frostbitten melodies and sudden eruptions of raw force, while the rhythm section keeps everything grounded in a slow, deliberate pulse. It's the sound of a long night that somehow keeps getting longer, and you can't help but lean in closer.
What makes "Nadir" stick is the songwriting. Nothing here feels like filler or a genre exercise. Each track builds its own little world, then tears a hole in it just when you think you've found your footing. There's grief in these riffs, but also a strange, stubborn beauty, the kind that makes you want to press play again the second the last note fades. The production leaves plenty of room to breathe, letting the quieter passages hit just as hard as the heaviest ones. It's a record that rewards patience and punishes background listening, and honestly, that's exactly what this kind of music should do.
